“Dialogue: Representation and Abstraction” Closing Reception and Artists Talk

“Dialogue: Representation and Abstraction” is the theme of the exhibition by the Artists of Gallery One (www.galleryonect.com), on view at the Guilford Art Center Mill Gallery.

The exhibition presents questions about the relationship between representation and abstraction. There is artwork which contains recognizable subject matter, such as trees, fruit, faces and figures. There is also artwork which seems to contain nothing recognizable, but emphasizes color, surface texture, shape and design.

Twenty-five painters and sculptors––Gallery One members and invited guests–– have been participating in this thought-provoking exhibition.
