Guilford Native Greenberg's Story is a Hit Nationwide

Adam Greenberg finally got his first official plate appearance Tuesday night with the Miami Marlins--- The best part? Guilford Patch got an exclusive interview that will appear on the site Monday!

After more than seven years away from the major leagues Adam Greenberg got his chance at bat as a Miami Marlin as they faced the New York Mets a week ago.  He has been working out and preparing for this moment and was overwhelmed by the support from his family, his biggest fan and supporter, Matt Liston, who started the petition to call Greenberg back and his fans, far and wide. Guilford Patch's Sarah Page Kyrcz, in an exclusive interview, talked to Adam about how it felt to be in the spotlight, to be back in a major league baseball uniform and up at bat. An emotional night for everyone associated with Adam, including Matt who, days after Adam's night in the spotlight admitted that it still felt like "a dream." Don't miss Guilford Patch on Monday to read all about the One At Bat journey through the eyes of Adam and Matt.

Even though Guilford native Adam Greenberg struck out in his second major-league at-bat last night for the Miami Marlins, his story struck a chord among sportswriters and sports fans nationwide. Here is a list of links to national stories about Greenberg's journey:
