[Update] Guilford Shooting Suspect Cooperating with Authorities

The Guilford Police Department released the following information in a press release earlier today concerning the suspect involved in the Monday night shooting of a vehicle at a gas station near the intersection of Goose Lane and Route 1:

The Guilford Police Department had sought the help from the public in identifying the operator of a red dodge truck, and we were notified by several people who provided information about the operator. The first notification was actually made by the individual himself, who fully cooperated with authorities on this matter. He was unaware that anything was struck after he accidentally discharged a firearm that he legally owned and was carrying at the time this incident occurred. Charges are pending.
