Upcoming: Guilford Police Doing Child-Seat Inspections and Installations

At the event, which is May 20th, officers will both install new car seats and ensure seats that have already been installed have been installed correctly.

On Monday, May 20, the Guilford Police Department will be both inspecting child safety seats that have already been installed and installing them themselves at the Guilford Walmart on 900 Boston Post Road, according to a post on the town’s website.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free and open to all. Police officers will both install car seats or ensure that car seats that have already been installed have been installed properly, according to the post.

The department encourages participants to bring the manufacturer’s manual with them if it is a new seat installation. For more information, contact the Guilford Police Department at (203) 453-8061 or visit the department’s website at www.guilfordct.com/police
