Troop F Police Blotter — Arrests Ending Nov. 12, 2013

The latest arrests relating to Guilford and other surrounding towns in the region.

The following arrest information came from the State Police Troop F barracks in Westbrook. It does not indicate a conviction.

Guilford

Nov. 2

Nicholas G. Jones, 28, 690 Jones Hill Road, Lot 46, West Haven, was charged with an illegal possession of narcotics on Nov. 2 after police responded a medical incident at Exit 57 on I-95 in Guilford. Officials approached a car in which Jones was inside and saw a person slumped over. They later determined he wasn’t in need of medical attention however police also discovered the accused had two methadone containers in his front seat, one full and one empty, both prescribed to two different people. Police said Jones admitted to buying the methadone for his personal use. He was taken into custody on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on Nov. 15. 

Nov. 3

Elliot K. Eleazer, 21, 7 Arrowhead Drive, Ledyard, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Nov. 3 after police pulled him over on I-95 southbound near Exit 59 in Guilford in which he was driving 110 mph, police said. Eleazer was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Nov. 14.

Durham

Nov. 6

Shane Lonergan, 29, 11 Route 14, Killingworth, was charged with operating with a suspended license, reckless driving, first-degree stalking, disorderly conduct, a criminal violation of a restraining order and second-degree reckless endangermenet after police responded on Nov. 6 to a disturbance that took place at the intersection of routes 79 and 17 in Durham. Lonergan was held on a $25,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 7.

Middlefield

Nov. 4

State police are investigating the theft of “No Life Guard on Duty” on Pequot Road near Lake Beseck in Middlefield. The complaint was lodged on Nov. 4. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Westbrook Troop F barracks at 860-399-2100.

Nov. 6

Police are investigating a possible bullying issue that happened in Middlefield on a school bus during an afternoon commute from a magnet school in Meriden on Nov. 6.

Middletown

Nov. 4

State police are investigating a report of three juveniles at Vinal Tech High School in Middletown who were reportedly harassing each other. The case was filed on Nov. 4 and is under investigation. 

Nov. 5

Nicholas Rios, 23, 38 Brookline Drive, East Hartford, was charged with reckless driving and operating with a suspended license on Nov. 5 after police pulled him over on Nov. 5 on Route 155 Middletown. Rios was held on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 15.

Nov. 6

Brain D. Rich, 20, 43 Crouch St., #10, Groton, was charged with speeding over 70 mph and operating under the influence on Nov. 6 after police said he was pulled over on Route 9 south in Middletown. Rich was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 22. 

Nov. 10

Lori A. Juvenville, 42, 52 Bokum Road, Chester, was charged with operating under the influence and a failure to drive in the proper lane on Nov. 11 after police said she lost control of her car on Exit 10 in Middletown and struck a light pole and a wire rope guide rail. Juvenville was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 25.

Westbrook

Nov. 2

Westbrook police are investigating a reported burglary at a home at 210 Old Salt Works Road on Nov. 2. A 10’ totem pole valued at $1,500 was stolen. Police said the case is under investigation.

Brandon M. Gronback, 20, 399 W. Pond Meadow Road, Westbrook, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after police responded to his home on Nov. 2 after police said he was involved in an altercation. Gronback is due in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 14.

Nov. 3

Kandiss Randolph, 29, 121 Hynes Ave., Groton, was charged with reckless driving and operating under the influence after police pulled Randolph over on I-95 south in Westbrook near Exit 65 on Nov. 3. Randolph failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody and held on a $1,500 bond. Randolph is due in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 14.

Nov. 8

Michael W. Mann, 44, 809 East Pondermeadow Road, Westbrook, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct after police responded to his home for a report of a fight on Nov. 8. Mann was held on a $2,500 bond and was scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 12.

Nov. 9

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on charges of operating under the influence and a failure to drive right after police pulled him over on Nov. 9 on Salt Island Road in Westbrook. The juvenile was later released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Juvenile Court on Nov. 21. 

Nov. 10

Police are investigating a reported burglary at Flat Rock Place in Westbrook on Nov. 10. Police said forced entry was made into a store and cash was stolen from the register as well as merchandise.

Essex

Nov. 3

Police in Essex are investigating a suspicious incident at a home at 49 Grand View Terrace on Nov. 3. According to police, a home owner reported that it appeared someone was inside the residence. No items were taken and nothing was out of place.

An outboard engine was stolen from the Pettipaug Yacht Club on River Road in Essex that was filed on Nov. 3, police said. The 2008 Suzuki DF6SK8 6.0 horsepower engine is black in color, with new conditions, no defects and with the VIN number of 00601884241. Police said it was stolen from a boat in the yard sometime between July 4, 2013 and Nov. 3, 2013. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Troop F barracks in Westbrook at 860-349-2325. 

Nov. 8

State police are investigating a reported assault that occurred on Route 9 northbound on Exit 4 in Essex that occurred on July 4, 2013 around 1:30 p.m. The investigating was launched on Nov. 8.

Nov. 12

Veronica Lifland, 22, 61 River Road, Essex, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Nov. 12 in Westbrook. Lifland was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bantam Superior Court on Nov. 25. 

East Lyme

Nov. 5

Laurel A. Rand, 36, 11 Mountain View Road, East Lyme, was charged with risk of injury to a child and fourth-degree sexual assault on Nov. 5 stemming from an incident that happened on Oct. 9, 2012 on Old Kelsey Point Road in Westbrook. Police sand Rand was held on a $1,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 20. 

Haddam

Nov. 7

Anja Eunique Tucker, 39, 265 Wiese Albert Road, Higganum, was charged with disorderly conduct on Nov. 7 after police said she was involved in a physical altercation. Tucker was held on a $500 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 8. 

Nov. 8

Autumn Rose O’Connell, 24, 166 West Shore Drive, Higganum, was charged with operating under the influence, a failure to notify the DMV of a license change, speeding up to 85 mph and a failure to report a change in a vehicle equipment or appearance on Nov. 8 after police pulled her over on Route 9 southbound in Middletown. O’Connell was held on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 22. 

Nov. 10

Police are investigating a burglary on Turkey Hill Road in Haddam. Police said an unlocked shed was accessed during the overnight hours of Nov. 10 and someone stole a red snow blower.

Old Lyme

Nov. 10

Gese Israel Rodriguez, 31, 47 Grassy Hill Road, Old Lyme, was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree strangulations, threatening and disorderly conduct after police investigated an incident at his home on Nov. 10. Rodriguez was held on a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Nov. 12.
