Police Charge Guilford Woman with Permitting Underage Drinking

Kelly Ann Krasnow, of Guilford, was arrested on Jan. 18 and faces several charges.

Kelly Ann Krasnow, 48, of 57 Ironwood Drive, was arrested on Jan. 18 and charged with permitting a minor to possess alcohol, risk of injury to a child, reckless endangerment first degree, and interfering with an officer; and violations of several Connecticut General Statutes.

According to Guilford Police, the charges stem from allegations that she either hosted, or was aware of, a New Year's Eve party that was held at her home during which underage drinking took place.

Guilford Police say they responded to the residence at 1:37 a.m. on New Year's Day after receiving a 911 call from another parent of one of the juveniles who was in attendence.

When police arrived, they found several children within the residence "in various states of intoxication," the police report said. The child of the parents who made the call was unresponsive, it said, and was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.
