Clarification: We earlier reported that the Amtrak service that goes through Wallingford was suspended. This is not true, as the New Haven Register reports that the Amtrak shuttle from New Haven to Springfield (through Wallingford, Meriden and other towns) is in fact running. Amtrak rail service has been suspended indefinitely between Boston and New York as authorities continue the search for bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
The trains are currently operating, however, between Washington DC and New York, Amtrak tweeted Friday.
Police are still conducting a massive manhunt of Tsarnaev, a 19-year-old Massachusetts resident wanted in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing on Monday.
