Back to Chaffinch Island this morning for another Weekend Sunrise. The gate was open and I was happy to think that I didn't have to walk as far this morning (although it is hardly far from outside the gate to the edge of the park). I was looking forward to having the place all to myself again. It is so peaceful to be able to enjoy this beautiful place with only early morning boaters going through the channel on their way out to the sound as my only companions. I don't know who was more disappointed - me or the onshore fisherman who probably thought he was gong t have the place all to himself. I gave him space as best i could, but some of the best views must also have been where the best fish were.
I lugged my "bird photo gear" with me - not a bird in site!
