10 Minute Presentation
Today’s speaker was Mike Maler, co-owner of Maler Photography in Stony Creek. In addition to his ten years of experience in photography, Mike has a technical background, and is extremely well versed in interactive design, including Web, social media, and SEO. Marcie Maler, the other co-owner, was formerly a creative director in magazine publishing.
They have shot everything from supermodels in New York’s Fashion Week and Live Nation musicians to family portraits and weddings. Their family work focuses on weddings and events, and is full of personality. Their tastes tend toward rustic backgrounds, but they cater 100% to their clients’ needs and personalities.
The two have also developed a photo booth product, which is a portable self-service studio that can be used at events from weddings to concerts. Unlike other photo booths, which take hours to produce a result, Maler’s photo booths produce beautiful digital shots in just seconds.
Maler Photography was names Best Photographer in 2011 and 2012 by the New Haven Advocate.
