Vote for Joe Mazza and his team on November 5

"We have a proven record, but there is more to do…and TOGETHER we will do it!

During my first term my fellow selectmen and I accomplished the following while maintaining services to the citizens of Guilford:
  • Rebuilt “Rainy Day” fund
  • Bond rating changed from negative to stable
  • New GHS referendum overwhelming passed
  • Implemented major upgrading of Jacob’s beach
  • Supported school system to immediately upgrade school security
  • Instituted affordable 401 Plans
  • Implemented rolling 5 Yr Capital Plan
  • Protected Senior Tax Relief Program
  • New automated Citizen Notification System
  • Improved & upgraded Town website to be user friendly
  • Created Town Facebook and Twitter accounts
  • Implemented updated Ethics Policy
  • Effectively managed five unprecedented weather events
  • Averted catastrophic oil release into Lake Quonnipaug
  • Made Economic Development a priority
  • Created business friendly environment
  • Exploring affordable housing opportunities
  • Created Efficiency Task force and implemented recommendations

We pride ourselves in leading our Town in a bi-partisan manner. Our decisions are always premised on what is in the best interest of all our citizens. Our record of accomplishment is a testament to the efforts we have made in building consensus for initiatives we proposed. We remain committed to leaving ‘party politics’ at the door and working closely with all our colleagues, whether Republican, Democrat or Unaffiliated. Every policy change made in the past four years has received the unanimous support of all our elected officials. We are proud of our record of appointing more “unaffiliated” residents to our Boards, Commissions & Committees then any other past administration.

On November 5th, we hope you too will leave party politics at the door and vote for my team so we can continue to move Guilford forward on a bi-partisan road to success.”
