Did anyone know there is a Muslim School opening in Guilford? Is it a "school"? Seems to me that it's a house. The old Whitewood School, in Branford was purchased for a Muslim school. The owners claimed they didn't have to pay taxes because of it's "school" status. No children ever attended... Branford wants their tax dollars. Is Guilford going to let this same thing happen to us? Can anyone claim their home is a school and get tax exempt status? Can anyone open a school? Isn't there some kind of licensing, zoning, voting, etc. One has to go through to to open a facility that is going with children? What about the fact that it is an LLC of all things!!
