Mildred Durfee, 96, formerly of Orange and Guilford, departed this life on May 15, 2014, at the Masonic Healthcare Center.
She was the loving wife of the late Stanley F. Durfee.
She was born in New Haven, October 16, 1917, a daughter of the late John and Addie (Morris) Simpson.
She had been a member of the First Baptist Church, Wallingford and Alice Chapter No. 76, O.E.S. in Hamden.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons: Paul J. Durfee of Williamsburg, VA, and James G. Durfee of Ossining, NY; four granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. Burial and services in the Hamden Plains Cemetery will be private.
