Edmund “Dutch” Paul Burkle Sr., 89, of 310 State St #109, Guilford, CT. Born in New Haven, CT on July 8, 1924. Predeceased by his wife Marie Helene Rich Burkle, 68 years of marriage, his son Dutch Burkle Jr, a grandson Kevin Paul Burkle. Survived by his children Bob, Gary, Patrick, and Kurt Burkle: Betsy Burkle Christensen and their families: 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a sister Lois Terribile.

Dutch was a member of St. Alban’s Lodge #38 A.F.&A.M. - 64 years, CT Licensed Plumbing, Heating & Solar, Hull Brewing, Plant Foreman Waverly Chemical, Century Brass, Electric Boat, Certified High School Soccer & Track Coach, Advisory Council at GHS, Laidlaw Sports bus largely: “Ice Hockey”/ bus driver and recently Parking & Security at Guilford High School.

CT Asst. Coach of the year, McGuire Cup Champion, Plyometric: Strength & Conditioning Instructor, Taught Plumbing and Heating classes, Pole Vault Meet Official, Washington Engine Co. No. 1, National Soccer and Interscholastic Coaches Assoc., Hobbies: Boat Racing, Midget Car Racing, Light Harness Racing, Horse Wagon & Sleigh Shows, Model A & T Ford

Mass of Christian Burial St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford, Tuesday, October 1 at 10 am.  Burial will follow Nut Plains Cemetery, Guilford.  Friends may call Monday, September 30 from 5 to 8 pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437.
