A Naturopathic Approach to Treating Lyme Disease

It’s finally spring!  It’s beautiful outside- time to be adventurous in nature and get back to cleaning up the yard. While there is nothing quite like breathing in fresh air and feeling the warm sun on your back, we all need to pay extra attention to those tiny little deer ticks carrying Lyme (Borrelia burgdorferi) and many co-infections, including Bartonella, Babesia, or Ehrlichia.

If caught right away when you find a tick or see the classic bull’s eye rash, Lyme disease can be treated quite successfully with proper antibiotics and for a long enough duration.  However, the ticks are very tiny and most people don’t actually see them. Also, a rash is not always present.  Or perhaps antibiotics were not taken long enough.  The result is chronic relapsing Lyme disease and/or a disease by several co-infections.  To continue reading this article, please follow the link: http://madisonctnaturopath.com/a-natural-approach-to-treating-lyme-disease/
