Rootin ‘Tootin’ Chili Cook-Off this Saturday

The first Annual 'Rootin Tootin' Chili Cook-Off will be be held this Saturday, March 9, at Our Lady of Mercy School. Live entertainment will feature The Shiny Lapel Trio, and proceeds go to local food banks.

 

 

St. George Men’s Group has partnered with The Guilford Foundation/ The Madison Foundation to host The 1st Annual Rootin ‘Tootin’ Chili Cook-Off, a benefit for their local food banks.

The event will take place Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Our Lady of Mercy School from 1-4 PM. Live entertainment will be provided by The Shiny Lapel Trio. According to the press release, 'entertaining costumes and booth decor are encouraged.'

The entry fee for the cooking competition is $25.00. First place winner will take home $200.00! Cash prizes for 1st and 2nd place by dignitary judges, and the best costume and table decor. A gift basket will be awarded to the People’s Choice winner.

If you're interested in attending the event, admission is $8 per person, $20 for a family of three or more, and '5 and under' and '70 and above' are free. Tastings will start at 1 PM and the winners will be announced at 4 PM.
