Memorial Service to be held today in Guilford for Victims of Newtown Tragedy

Today, December 16th, there will be a Memorial Service in Guilford for the victims of the tragedy in Newtown

 

Yesterday afternoon, the Town of Guilford announced on their Facebook page and the town's website that there will be a Memorial Service today for the victims of the Newtown Tragedy. The Town of Guilford along with the Religious Clery will hold the Prayer Vigil in solidarity with the Newtown Shooting victims and grieving families. 

The Service will be held today, December 16th at 6 PM. The Memorial service will take place at St. George's Church, 33 Whitfield St.

Selectman Cindy Cartier has also provided Guilford Patch with the following information about today's Memorial Service:

All are invited to attend, pray and help our communities heal at this time. Brief remarks will be made by our religious clergy, accompanied by musical tributes from Guilford Voices.  The program will last about an hour and we welcome your attendance.
