This Thursday, December 6th, Guilford will hold its "Light Up the Green" event. 500 luminaries will light up the walkways of the Guilford Green. The stunning spectacle will take place from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Shops around the Green will also stay open late for the event, for all you shoppers who want to get going on those holiday wish lists. To keep warm, some will even offer hot cocoa and, if you're hungry, cookies for visitors. At some shops, there will also be an opportunity to make a donation to benefit the Guilford Heat Program
You're also invited to create your own luminary to add to the festivities. Just stop by the Greene Art Gallery! The event is sponsored by the Guilford Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Guilford.
In conjunction with this event, several shops are participating in the e-list's "Girls Night Out" event, with special sales, dinner and drinks. Find out more here!
The e-list is also offering a "Christmas Baking Class" from 7 PM to 9 PM. The price for the event is $25 per person, and all proceeds will go to The Women's Family Life Center. Creator of The Elegant Occasion Roberta Lombardi will share her special holiday recipes for Pasticiotti, Pignoli Almond Cookies and more. Coffee and cordials will be served and recipes provided to all participants.
If you're interested in either event, you've got to sign up for the e-list and for reservations for the Baking class, please call Page Hardware & Appliance Co. at 203-453-5267.
