Gov. Malloy, Sen. Blumenthal Tour Guilford After Hurricane Sandy

In the wake of Sandy's destruction, Gov. Malloy, Sen Blumenthal, First Selectman Joe Mazza, and other state officials tour Guilford's shoreline

Moments ago, Governor Dannel Malloy, Senator Richard Blumenthal, First Selectman Joe Mazza and other state and town officials toured Indian Cove and Vineyard Point to witness the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

These areas of Guilford have been virtually inaccessible due to the flooding all along the coast. The causeway that the tour passed over was previously overrun with water, and construction crews were on the scene recovering.

Malloy spoke to several Guilford residents, and answered questions about applying for assistance as local businesses and residents recover from the onslaught. (see video).
