Dudley Farm Holiday Open House Features Local Talent

Dudley Farm's 17th Annual Open House and Market draws talent from around the state and right here in Guilford.

It may have been chilly yesterday, but the weather held up for Dudley Farm's Annual Open House and Market. After chatting with Barbara Hammarlund about the event and all it had to offer, I had to drop by to check things out and I was not disappointed!!

I met Tricia from Northford, a creator of unique hand painted glass, who was hard at work on her latest ornament creation. I could barely snap a photo of her work because people were crowded around her table most of my visit. Contact her at ornamentsbytricia@aol.com.

Laura Gardner, of Found in the Sound and Around showed me her selection of earrings that were hand woven. They contained within them sea glass collected from the sound in an array of blues and greens. Contact her at foundinthesound@att.net.

Guilford artist Emily VanDerMaelen, of Nature Works (vandermaelen@comcast.net), displayed her various designs of sterling silver crafts. David Wendt Sr. showed off his beautiful woodwork on the lower level of the Farmhouse. There were so much talent at the event I couldn't possibly list them all. Suffice it to say, it lived up the the expectations Barbara set out for me, and exceeded them!
