STEVEN WOLFSON, MD, HONORED AS NHCMA’S DISTINGUISHED AWARD RECIPIENT

GUILFORD, Conn. (NOV 20, 2013)- The New Haven County Medical Association (NHCMA) presented cardiologist Steven Wolfson, MD, with the NHCMA Distinguished Award at their 229th Annual Meeting, which took place on October 21, 2013 at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville.

As a member of New Haven County Medical Association for the past 29 years, Steven has selflessly given his time serving on various boards and committees including the MedServ Board of Directors, as well as the Board of NHCMA and as its President in 2008-2009. Dr. Wolfson is currently the NHCMA’s Councilor to the Connecticut State Medical Society, where he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award in 2011.

Dr. Wolfson, a Board Certified Internist/Cardiologist, is the co-founder of Project Access New Haven, which ensures patients without insurance, or gaps in their coverage, access to the quality medical specialty care they need. He has also mentored generations of medical students by volunteering Saturdays at the Haven Free Clinic. He currently practices at Cardiology Associates of New Haven in North Haven, a part of the Yale Medical Group.
