Walk or Run with The Connecticut Humane Society and the Meriden Rotary Foundation at the 5th Annual Central Connecticut Pet Fair, Dog Walk and 5K Road Race

WHAT:               Central Connecticut Pet Fair, Dog Walk & 5K Road Race

The Meriden Rotary, in partnership with the Connecticut Humane Society, will hold its 5th Annual Central CT Pet Fair, Dog Walk & 5K Road Race next Saturday, July 20th, 2013 at Hubbard Park in Meriden.

FOX CT Meteorologist Rachel Frank will be the Grand Marshal of this year’s event, kicking off the 5K at 9:00 AM. Runner awards will be given in 9 age groups, for men and women, and overall male and female winners.

Don’t want to run in the heat? Sign up for our 2-mile dog walk (no dog required!)

                        Whether you register to walk or run, you can always create or join a team and help CT Humane raise funds to save the lives of homeless pets.

Please help “Stuff the CT Humane Society Bus” at the Pet Fair by donating adult dog or cat food to our Pet Food Pantry!

The event, held rain or shine, is anticipated to draw over 2,500 attendees and will feature other activities such as a an expanded pet fair featuring more animal welfare displays, pet related vendors, live entertainment, demonstrations, prizes, and a chance to meet adoptable pets.

The Meriden Rotary, now in its fifth year holding this family-fun event, has chosen The Connecticut Humane Society as its new charity partner for the 2013 event and beyond.
