This Saturday is NAMIWalk Day!

This Saturday is The Day. To come to Hartford’s Bushnell Park and walk against the stigma of mental illness. Do it for your family, your friends, those you love, yourself, anyone who struggles against that stigma. And help us raise the funds we need to help the Connecticut chapter of the National Alliance for Mental Illness to offer the free support groups and educational programs it provides to more than 8,000 people each year. Our goal is $200,000 and we’re just over 70 percent of the way there. So please go to www.namiwalks.org/connecticut, and sign up now. Or come to Bushnell Park Saturday and register right then and there. Then take a pleasant stroll around that beautiful, historic park. All donations are tax deductible. For more information, call Janice Shilosky or Iris Nazario at 800-215-3021. Where: Bushnell Park, Hartford When: May 18 Distance: 5 K Check-in time: 9:00 am Start Time: 10:00 am
