The all-volunteer GFFE is in its eight year of funding and encouraging innovative teaching opportunities to benefit Guilford students through its grants program. The nonprofit organization has funded over $250,000 worth of grants to-date, ranging from new and different technologies in the classroom to arts opportunities with local non-profit groups to teacher enrichment workshops and beyond. GFFE grants have benefitted 85% of all Guilford youth; the hope is to keep raising this percentage.
