Guilford Fund for Education Launches Annual Appeal

The Guilford Fund for Education announces its 2013-2014 Annual Appeal Campaign.

Donations to the Annual Appeal will help GFFE in its mission of supporting projects that foster innovation and excellence in learning for all students in Guilford.

The all-volunteer GFFE is in its eight year of funding and encouraging innovative teaching opportunities to benefit Guilford students through its grants program. The nonprofit organization has funded over $250,000 worth of grants to-date, ranging from new and different technologies in the classroom to arts opportunities with local non-profit groups to teacher enrichment workshops and beyond. GFFE grants have benefitted 85% of all Guilford youth; the hope is to keep raising this percentage.

“We are truly thankful for all the innovative ideas and projects we have been able to help fund over the years,” says GFFE board co-chair Herb Swartz. “We have watched with excitement how your generous donations have become wonderful learning experiences for the children of Guilford. With the community’s help we can continue our mission of fostering innovation and excellence in education here in Guilford.”
