Hi Albert: Don't know what happened to my comment this morning but let me see if I can recall what iRead More said: 1. Content Marketing Will be Bigger Than Ever. It is because of Patch that I created my new photography blog. Patch suggested that local business create a blog to promote their expertise. I'm glad I did so as this new blog is already drawing more traffic this month than my other two blogs together. You're right that more people are turning their attention to the web. If companies want to draw potential customers, they need to go where the eyes are. More and more eyes are on the web. 2. Mobile-Friendly Content Will Be Necessary All three of my blogs are mobile friendly. Next on my list is seeing how I can make my photography site more mobile friendly. 4. Investment in Social Media Will Become a Necessity. Social Media is already a necessity, in my opinion and choosing the right platforms is also very important. I believe Facebook is losing its power to hold sway. Pinterest and Google+ have been amazing for me as traffic to all four of my sites have grown since I've been on those two platforms. I'm now receiving approximately 300-400 visits a day on average alone from G+ and Pinterest. Social Media is becoming a force to reckon with and unless we are ready for it, we will be left behind. -- Chris

Hi Albert: 3. Become more active. I am always promoting my photography business, whether online atRead More Google+ Pinterest, or here on Patch w/my new Small Business Blog: http://madison-ct.patch.com/blogs/cjp-photography or out in the public and I've seen my results improve since I've taken a more active role in promotion. 5. Become omnipresent. My day job is at The Scranton Library in Madison. However more people in town know me as a photographer because I'm ALWAYS around w/my camera. I write another blog called Wisdom and Life and a couple years ago I described an example of how being "omnipresent" helped me.
